St. Paul Preaching
It is the primary mission of every Baptized Catholic to embrace the Faith and to share the love and Gospel of Jesus Christ, Our Savior, with all through a process the Church calls "evangelization." But this doesn't mean standing on the corner in Times Square with a loudspeaker! As you may know from hearing all of his Epistles on Sundays or reading the Acts of the Apostles, St. Paul was pretty good at that in his day, but today, many Catholics have discovered a much more personal way of sharing their Faith through action.
When it comes to evangelization, the first and most basic question we all need to ask ourselves is, "What am I doing to share God's love?"
There are probably as many ways to answer that question as there are people in our pews! What works for you? Will you pray for your neighbor or a loved one in need? Will you volunteer to help the St. Vincent De Paul Society deliver food to the hungry? Will you serve as a Eucharistic Minister to bring Holy Communion to the shut-ins? Will you learn to be a catechist and help teach our children about your Faith and Christ's love for them? Will you be on the lookout for opportunities to express your Catholic beliefs in conversations?
We all have special talents. What are yours? How can you dedicate them to spreading God's love? To discuss this with a friendly face, simply call the Parish Office at 732-566-9334 or email us at [email protected] and ask. Our staff will help direct your love for Jesus in practical ways to become one of Our Dear Lord's 21st-century evangelists. It can be a truly wonderful experience.
