Like the entire world when the COVID-19 pandemic swept through 2020 and 2021, our parish had to take precautious and measures to ensure a safe degree of social distancing among parishioners when we returned to in-person mass attendance. This included taping off pews with clear signs, tape-markers on the aisle floors marking the necessary 6-feet distance, and hand sanitizing stations at the foot of the altar. Our daily mass chapel was closed for much of the pandemic too due to being a small space that could not accommodate the required social distancing. Despite the ravages of the pandemic on our daily lives, our parish remained for us to return to as a safe space to continue the story of faith as a community committed to the Eucharist and the power of God's love.
